Pregnancy, Labour and Delivery Program

Supporting you through every stage of your pregnancy

Pelvic physiotherapy during pregnancy is designed to support your comfort, function, and confidence as your body changes

When should I book my appointment?

Care can begin as early as 12 weeks of pregnancy if you are experiencing pelvic floor-related symptoms. At this stage, a comprehensive assessment is completed, and an individualized treatment plan is developed to address your specific concerns and support your goals.

If your pregnancy is progressing well, an assessment around 20-24 weeks is often recommended to monitor movement, strength, and pelvic floor function, and to ensure your body is adapting optimally.

When needed, follow-up sessions are typically scheduled monthly to provide ongoing support, with adjustments made to your care plan as your body and symptoms evolve.

Labour and Delivery Preparation

Beginning at 36 weeks of pregnancy, care shifts toward preparing your body for labour
and delivery.

Treatment will include:

  • Perineal stretching

  • Education on labour and delivery positions

  • Pushing and breathing strategies

  • Pain management and relaxation techniques

  • Early postpartum recovery guidance

Every pregnancy is unique. Your care is adjusted to reflect your individual needs, your stage of pregnancy, and your personal goals—ensuring you feel supported at every step.
